Stories captivate us.
They take us in, transport us, and allow us to live vicariously through the characters and setting. Just like good design.
The New Yorker Hotel
2019
Inspired by Nikola Tesla, this booth pays tribute to the inspirational ideals and practical solutions created by visionaries. Tesla lived the last ten years of his life in the New Yorker hotel, one of the most technologically advanced buildings in the world at that time, and he often visited the hotel’s giant power plant 70 feet below ground.
The Grand
Budapest Hotel
2018 / 2019
Inspired by Wes Anderson’s iconic film The Grand Budapest Hotel, this booth captures the whimsical palette and over the top aesthetics of the quirky hotel on which it is based.

Casablanca
2017 / 2018
In this booth, based on the 1942 classic film, our goal was to capture the ambiance of this timeless black and white film, while paying homage to the playfulness of the shadows. A careful selection of luxurious product from our Signature Line completed the glamorous Moroccan vibe.

Through the
Looking Glass
2016 / 2017
Mad tea party meets an artist's psychedelic landscape in this booth inspired by Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The focal point was a vintage turn-of-the-century lightbox, paying homage to the time when the story was written. Layers of painted boards lit from behind also inspired the paper pop-up invites for our hospitality events of the season. The rich palette and opulent fabrics invited guests to make themselves at home, which they were happy to do.
The Shining
2015 / 2016
We reimagined “The Gold Room” through the Renwil lens, featuring the iconic bar scene from Kubrick's The Shining with Renwil’s Art Director, Patrick St-Germain, as the bartender. Working with our creative team, St-Germain also created an original artwork based on the stunning mountain scene from the opening credits. The look was completed with bar lighting and a custom modern-colored version of the famous hexagonal pattern from the corridors of The Overlook Hotel.

White Room
2014 / 2015
An interactive performance piece, the minimalist White Room demonstrated just how adaptable the Renwil team can be. Art Director Patrick St-Germain refinished lighting, mirrors, and art live on the scene, transforming them into completely new pieces.
